New Delhi / Gurgaon: Several media publications had reproduced a news feature first published by IndiaSpend.com quoting CMR having researched that there was a dip in the India mobile handset industry in 1Q CY 2015, for the first time in the last 20 years.
CMR would like to reiterate that it had never claimed any such finding in its release published on May 6th 2015.
As clarified today by IndiaSpend in a footnote to its feature, that the statement about the claim of witnessing the dip for the first time in the past 20 years is based on their internal research. CMR’s data and analysts were only quoted for the dip witnessed in 1Q CY 2015.
