Curt-Belusar Curt Belusar – Director of Hyperscale Engineering Hyperscale Business Unit, HPE

Curt Belusar is the Director of Hyperscale Engineering for the Hyperscale Business Unit within HP. Curt leads the Hyperscale Engineering team in delivering server, storage, and infrastructure solutions optimized for large Web 2.0, cloud and high-performance computing IT environments. The Hyperscale Engineering team utilizes its expert knowledge of data center infrastructure and IT equipment to architect compute solutions that scale-out across the data center with optimal price, performance and power efficiency.

Previously, Curt was the Director of Engineering for HP’s Smart Array controllers and Modular Smart Array (MSA) storage enclosures. Curt has also managed the development of various ProLiant server platforms.

Curt has a Master of Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Advanced Computer Architecture from Rice University in Houston, Texas, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. Curt has a combined 21 years of service at HP, and previously, Compaq.

John is a strategic account engineering manager. He drives a team of hardware design engineers and program mangers. He provides support to the largest service provider customers worldwide. He based out of Houston, TX.


anilAnil Chopra, VP—Research and Consulting, CyberMedia Research and Services Ltd

Anil works for CyberMedia Research and Services Ltd as VP-Research and Consulting. He drives key research initiatives, special projects, and the group’s flagship event for C-suite executives of large enterprises, C-Change.

Prior to this, Anil worked as the Group Editor-Technology for CyberMedia’s well-known media brands, which include PCQuest, Dataquest, Voice & Data, CIOL.com, etc.

An engineer and MBA by training, Anil has over 20 years of experience in media and research.

Anil has a passion for technology and loves explaining it to everyone. He’s adept at multi-channel content creation, be it print, online, digital, video, social media, or events. He regularly writes and researches on emerging enterprise technologies and trends. He also has ample hands-on experience in benchmarking and testing a wide variety of IT products and services.

A seasoned speaker, Anil has delivered presentations at various prestigious CIO forums and moderated panel discussions on a wide range of topics relevant for IT decision makers across SMBs and large enterprises.

Anil has a knack for spotting the latest technology trends and has conducted dozens of market research studies on technology adoption, IT buying patterns and technology implementations by Indian enterprises.


Apalak Ghosh – Principal Consultant, Emerging Technologies Research, InfoTech Practice, CMRap

Apalak is a lead analyst with CMR’s software and IT services research practice, based out of Gurgaon (near New Delhi). In this role, Apalak is responsible for overseeing development of reports, carrying out in-depth market assessments and forecasts on new and emerging technologies like Cloud Computing, Virtualization, Green IT, DataCenter adoption amongst others. Apalak has led new research initiatives to study adoption of Cloud Computing and Virtualization amongst Indian enterprises. He is frequently quoted in the media on the subject of Cloud Computing and DataCenters on popular TV channels such as NDTV and in leading business publications such as The Economic Times and The Hindu Businessline. He also writes a blog on the theme of Green IT/Virtualization/Cloud Computing. In this capacity he carries forward his rich experience as Manager, Software and Services Research and Consulting Practice, IDC India. Prior to his current role, Apalak has worked with TNS India as a research analyst for two years, before which he was with TransAsia Solution Seekers, Indonesia as a consultant for a year. His experience spans across key research areas such as brand tracking, product / concept testing, quantitative and qualitative research, and consulting. He has a rich exposure to research techniques such as face-to-face and telephonic interviews, profiling and discussions with stakeholders across diverse industry verticals such as IT and Telecom, Consumer Packaged Goods and Automotive. Apalak completed his Master’s program in Business Administration from the ICFAIBusinessSchool, Bangalore, specialising in Marketing. Apalak also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology (BIT), Ranchi capital of the eastern Indian state of Jharkhand.
