Thomas George is the Head of CMR and in this capacity he is responsible for the management and business operations of the company.

Thomas has more than twenty years of industry experience, of which twelve years has been in sales, marketing, business development, client servicing and close to four years in a general management role in the ICT and business market research industry. In his earlier stints, Thomas led his team in various new initiatives at IDC India, including research in non-traditional domains, city-level market sizing studies for important IT product categories and the Go-To-Market Services practice. His focus on outstanding customer service and satisfaction were a major factor in the expansion and growth of IDC’s research business in India.

Thomas has consistently delivered results, which were growth oriented and measurable, and his efforts in various functions like sales, marketing and go-to-market services were clearly recognizable in the exceptional revenue growth at IDC India. In his role as the head of the India Go-To-Market Services practice he conceptualized and provided leadership for many unique and innovative industry programs for ICT vendors. He was also instrumental in initiating many studies jointly with key industry associations and organizations like Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), India Semiconductor Association (ISA), Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) and The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM).

He received the Best Executive award on two occasions, the Best Manager award on three occasions and most recently the CyberMedia Board of Directors’ award for excellence in providing leadership and commitment to achieving IDC India business goals.

Prior to joining IDC India, Thomas worked with Global Solutions, a software development firm in a sales and marketing role for close to two years. In this role he was responsible for expanding the custom application development business for the company.

Thomas is an Economics graduate and is based out of Bangalore, India.

Thomas is also a qualified lead auditor for ISO 9001: 2008 Quality Management Systems requirements and a certified Six Sigma ‘Green Belt’ quality professional. He is a practitioner and strong evangelist of the concepts of teamwork and human capital creation in knowledge industry and social settings.
