Over the years, LinkedIn has been more than a social platform for me. The first person to welcome our newest students at CGC University, Mohali wasn’t me.

It was my 𝗔𝗜 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝘄𝗶𝗻. 🤖

As the lights dimmed and my digital avatar appeared on screen, the auditorium fell silent. For a few moments, students wondered whether they were watching me live or witnessing something entirely new. That moment of curiosity was exactly the point.

Technology is no longer something we prepare for in the future—it’s something we must learn to build with today.

At the 𝗡𝗘𝗫𝗧𝗚𝗘𝗡 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺, I wanted our freshmen to experience innovation before I even spoke a word. Because at VentureNest : CGC Jhanjeri TBI Association, we believe the best way to inspire innovation is to demonstrate it.

Entrepreneurship begins with curiosity.
Innovation begins with imagination.
And every startup begins with one bold idea.

Over the next four years, these students won’t just earn a degree—they’ll have the opportunity to solve real-world problems, build products, launch startups, collaborate with mentors, access incubation support, and create meaningful impact.

My message to every freshman was simple:

𝗗𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲. 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗶𝘁.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘃𝗲 & 𝟮𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 was more than an annual gathering—it was a celebration of the remarkable growth and collective spirit of the TiE Chandigarh community.

Seeing 𝟰𝟬𝟬+ 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗚𝗠, the largest in TiE Chandigarh’s history, was inspiring. The energy in the room, the meaningful conversations, and the shared commitment to innovation made the event a memorable milestone.

One of the highlights was listening to 𝗦𝗵𝗿𝗶 𝗦𝘂𝗸𝗵𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝘂𝗸𝗵𝘂 𝗝𝗶, 𝗛𝗼𝗻’𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗵, whose keynote emphasized the importance of innovation-led growth, entrepreneurship, and collaborative development. It was equally insightful to hear 𝗗𝗿. 𝗡𝗶𝗽𝘂𝗻 𝗝𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗹, 𝗜𝗔𝗦, 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿, 𝗜𝗧, 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗵, along with other distinguished dignitaries, share their vision for strengthening the startup ecosystem.

As someone deeply involved in nurturing startups and innovation, it was encouraging to witness the 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗵’𝘀 continued commitment to supporting entrepreneurs and building an ecosystem where ideas can flourish.

The conclave also provided a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with fellow entrepreneurs, mentors, investors, ecosystem builders, and friends who are collectively shaping the future of innovation. Every conversation reinforced a simple truth—strong ecosystems are built through collaboration, trust, and a shared purpose.

It was a privilege to meet Mr. Ankur Warikoo during 𝗡𝗘𝗫𝗧𝗚𝗘𝗡 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 at CGC University, Mohali, and attend his thought-provoking session.

From building companies to becoming 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮’𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀, Ankur’s entrepreneurial journey is a testament to the fact that success is not a straight line. His candid stories about failures, difficult decisions, reinvention, and lifelong learning reminded everyone in the auditorium that entrepreneurship is less about having all the answers and more about having the courage to keep moving forward.

One message that particularly resonated with me was the importance of betting on yourself. In a world where uncertainty is constant, conviction, discipline, and continuous learning become the greatest competitive advantages.

As someone deeply involved in nurturing startups, mentoring founders, and building innovation ecosystems through VentureNest : CGC Jhanjeri TBI Association , I found his insights closely aligned with what we strive to instill in every aspiring entrepreneur:
 • Dream boldly, but execute consistently.
 • Treat failures as lessons, not setbacks.
 • Build for impact before recognition.
 • Invest in yourself before expecting others to invest in your vision.

It was inspiring to witness thousands of students listening with curiosity and enthusiasm. Sessions like these have the power to ignite entrepreneurial thinking at the very beginning of a student’s academic journey. I hope many of them leave not just motivated, but determined to create solutions, build ventures, and contribute meaningfully to society.

From 15 June to 15 July 2026, 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 covering every critical aspect of venture creation—from entrepreneurial mindset and design thinking to business modelling, branding, fundraising, leadership, and global market expansion.

Over 𝟭𝟱 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵-𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀, participants immersed themselves in practical learning, real-world case studies, mentor interactions, and founder-centric discussions that challenged assumptions, refined ideas, and transformed perspectives.

We proudly celebrated the successful completion of the learning phase, with 𝟮𝟬+ 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻—a milestone that reflects their commitment, resilience, and entrepreneurial spirit.

However, the journey doesn’t end with certification.

I am delighted to share that I have been empaneled as a Mentor with the Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI)—the nodal agency driving the implementation of the Jammu & Kashmir Startup Policy under the Department of Industries & Commerce, Government of Jammu and Kashmir .

This opportunity is both an honour and a responsibility.
