SOLO by Interakt was one of the last few things I worked on before saying goodbye to Haptik.
Over the years, Haptik has helped define what it means for enterprises to use AI. But we have mostly focused on large businesses.
With SOLO, that changes.
SOLO is an AI Business Team built for entrepreneurs and young businesses, the kind of teams that need to move fast, do more with less, and scale without having to build large teams from day one.
If you are building a business, do check it out. I genuinely believe it can change the way you run your business.

Every great business is built by a great team.
But for millions of small businesses, the team is just… one person.
One person creating content, answering customers, following up on leads, trying to do it all.
For years, growing a business meant hiring more people.
Until now.
Meet SOLO by Interakt – your AI Business Team, working full time for you!
Meet Tara, who handles Marketing. She learns your business and plans calendar, create content, design creatives, publish posts, and runs ads to bring more customers for your business.
Meet Ved, who handles customers. He responds instantly on WhatsApp & Instagram, follows up automatically, answers your business calls when you’re unavailable, and helps turn conversations into customers.
Together, they work 24/7 for your business, while you focus on doing what only you can.
Because the future of small business isn’t doing everything alone.
It’s having a team that’s always there.

Lots of people keep asking me, “How do I build a moat in today’s AI-everywhere world?”
My simple answer: speed of execution.
OpenAI took Codex from idea to public product in seven weeks, eight engineers, zero quarterly‑planning detours. When Replit‘s AI agent accidentally nuked a customer’s production database, the team pulled an all‑nighter, restored the data, and shipped new guardrails, all inside 24 hours. On the funding side, Dharmesh Shah jumped on a Sunday Zoom with Lovable’s founder Anton Osika and wired the check first thing Monday. Even the giants get it: Google and Meta snap up top talent in 48‑72 hours, whatever it takes.
For every success story, there’s another team killing an idea faster than slower teams can finish their pitch decks. That’s product velocity, deal‑making velocity, hiring velocity, compounding while others complain that “AI is too crowded.”
At Haptik, we had a rule: “inaction is worse than failure”. In 2025, inaction isn’t just worse, it’s lethal. If your AI idea needs 4-5 months of “alignment etc.” before users touch it, someone faster has already eaten your lunch.
So let’s build. Drop the overthinking, quit waiting for approval, and ship something today. Then learn, iterate, and ship again.

I’ve seen this pattern in almost every AI app. Demos work great, but then real users expose the cracks. Change one prompt and something else breaks. Users and clients start losing faith in your app.
The answer to most of these problems?
– Strong, clear evaluation metrics that you track regularly.
– It gives you the confidence and peace of mind of knowing exactly how your app is performing in production.
I wrote a guide on the scorecard I use for all the apps I ship and how to implement it. The image shows what real-time LLM monitoring looks like when done right.
Link to the full implementation guide in the comments.

I went down a bit of a rabbit hole recently trying to understand AI guardrails.
What started as “how do I stop bad outputs?” turned into a deep dive into architecture, safety frameworks, unintended behaviors, and a dozen real-world incidents where things almost went off the rails.
Most people treat guardrails like seatbelts: a safety add-on. But in agent systems that plan, reason, call tools, and store memory, guardrails have to be part of the architecture, not just wrappers around LLM outputs.
I pulled everything I was learning into a blog post and realized that before talking about how guardrails work, we need to understand what exactly we’re trying to protect.
🧩 Here are the 6 key attributes that good guardrails should defend:
– Accuracy: prevent hallucinations & disinformation
– Privacy: avoid sensitive data leakage
– Security: block injections, unsafe code/tool access
– Safety: prevent harmful or dangerous behavior
– Compliance: align with legal/regulatory standards
– Fairness: reduce bias in reasoning and responses
Read the full post to explore how guardrails work and why thinking of them as runtime actions across your entire agent stack is a much more powerful model than just filtering input and output.

If you want your team to actually use AI and not just talk about it – here’s an interesting idea: 👇
Lenny Rachitsky just dropped the AI Bundle of the Year – $14,000+ worth of top AI tools (Cursor, Replit, Notion AI, Perplexity Pro, and more) for just $200: https://lnkd.in/gKDWtFbz
Here’s how to turn this into magic inside your org:
➡️ Run a 10–15 day challenge where employees share their most creative use of AI for personal growth or productivity
➡️ Reward the top 3–5 entries with this bundle (gifted to their email so they keep it)
➡️ Watch how fast AI adoption takes off
It’s recognition + upskilling + culture-building in one shot.
Best $200-$1000 you will spend this year.

Pretraining gives language models their knowledge, post-training gives them purpose! But with so many techniques—fine-tuning, instruction tuning, RLHF, test-time reasoning—it’s easy to get lost in the maze.
I recently came across a fantastic paper—LLM Post-Training: A Deep Dive into Reasoning LLMs—that mapped out this space beautifully. So I decided to break it all down into something easier to digest.
📘 In this post, I’ve:
– Categorized key post-training methods (Fine-Tuning, RL, Test-Time Scaling)
– Summarized strengths, challenges, and real-world use cases
– Shared clean, visual tables to help you pick the right technique for your application
This reference might save you a lot of time if you’re building AI products or working with LLMs in production.

🚀 In the AI era, being a ‘wrapper company’ isn’t a limitation—it’s an opportunity!
With foundational models now widely accessible, the true differentiators lie in:
– Speed: Rapid iteration and agile development to stay ahead.
– Quality: Delivering exceptional user experiences that resonate.
– Distribution: Crafting innovative go-to-market strategies and building strong communities.
Embracing the ‘wrapper’ approach means focusing on:
– AI-native workflows: Reimagining processes to fully leverage AI’s potential.
– User-centric design: Creating interfaces that simplify complexity.
In this landscape, it’s not just about the technology but how you apply it. The companies that thrive will be those that integrate AI thoughtfully, enhancing value and redefining industries.

For 30 years, I’ve witnessed the power of a great special educator—because my mother is one. The right guidance doesn’t just help children learn; it transforms entire families, especially for differently abled children.
But in India, the reality is stark:
📌 30 million children are estimated to have Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD).
📌 Yet, only 8 million have been officially identified—leaving 22 million children and families unaware.
📌 Even for the identified cases, we have just 1.6 lakh special educators—meeting only 25-35% of the actual need.
This massive gap in special education is a challenge—but also an opportunity. Given where AI stands today, I truly believe we can bridge this gap and create a lasting impact.
That’s why I started building an AI-powered special educator—to bring personalized, accessible, and scalable support to children, parents, and educators.
🚀 Super excited to share that on the 1-year anniversary of IndiaAI Mission, we were selected as one of 30 companies (from 900+ applicants) to receive a grant from the IndiaAI Application Innovation Challenge. This recognition strengthens our mission to revolutionize special education in India.
If this vision resonates with you, I’d love to connect. Whether you’re an educator, technologist, policymaker, or just someone who cares deeply about making a difference—we need you. Let’s build the future of special education together.

After a wonderful decade at Dream Sports, it’s finally time for me to move on to my next adventure.
In 2016, I made the decision to move to India after 12 years in the US. I arrived with two small babies, and almost everyone I knew questioned the move. I had spent my entire career in the Valley up to that point, extremely fortunate to work alongside some of the smartest people at Yahoo and Netflix.
I joined Dream11 when it was just a 45-person company with a 20-member tech team. For the first time, I was given the opportunity to combine my passion for sports with my profession in tech. Over the years, we scaled that tech team to 600 strong—all based right here in Mumbai, proving wrong everyone who said it couldn’t be done :). Together, we built some of the most technically complex systems and most-loved apps in the country.
I am incredibly grateful to my team, who worked so hard and made this success possible, and to all my peers who taught me so much along the way. I would also like to say a massive thank you to Harsh Jain and Bhavit Sheth for having faith in me and giving me this opportunity.
What’s next? I’ll be building something cool again (obviously with AI 😉).
Until then, stay tuned!

For a long time, building a business has meant building a team.
You hired marketers to find customers. Salespeople to convert them. Support teams to keep them happy.
But AI is changing that equation. For the first time, a small business can access capabilities that were once reserved for companies with much larger teams and pockets.
That’s the opportunity we’ve been obsessed with.
Today, we’re launching 𝐒𝐎𝐋𝐎, an AI Business Team built for entrepreneurs.
𝗧𝗮𝗿𝗮 handles marketing – from planning and creating content to managing social media and generating demand.
𝐕𝐞𝐝 takes care of customer conversations – engaging leads, following up, providing support, and helping convert conversations into customers.
The goal isn’t to replace entrepreneurs. It’s to remove the work that gets in the way of them doing what they do best.
I genuinely believe AI will be the biggest leveller for small businesses over the next decade. We’re excited to build that future with SOLO.

Thank you, Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, for bringing together brands, agencies, creators and platforms once again, this time in record heat. The power of creators and sports was front and center. From the largest creator presence at Cannes to athletes at Sports Beach against the backdrop of Formula 1, FIFA World Cup 2026™ – Canada, Mexico and the United States, and the Knick’s NBA Championship, it’s the intersection of culture, fandom and community that increasingly drives influence. And especially in the age of AI, authenticity will matter even more to break through. Speaking of the intersection of marketing and creators, it was great to sit down with Ben Heath from Heath Media to discuss Meta One for small businesses and creators.
But the conversation that was most exciting was the palpable shift from AI as Assistants to AI as Agents. If assistants answers questions, often through a Q&A format, agents act – you give it a task and it completes it on your behalf. Every day, people have more than 1 billion active threads with businesses across our messaging platforms. There are also more than 10 million conversations each week being facilitated through Business AIs, up from 1 million at the start of the year. These channels are not just what consumers prefer – a more native, real-time way to interact with businesses – but also what is driving outcomes. According to a study by BCG, 45% of consumers are already comfortable using AI to purchase. On WhatsApp, you can book a golf cart tour of ancient Rome or rent a car in Brazil.
This is why we are excited to bring Meta Business Agents to more businesses across Messenger, WhatsApp, and soon Instagram Direct. Businesses can easily create always-on, highly personalized customer agents for your brand and we will start to test business agents in Meta One subscriptions.
Speaking of fandom, still fangirling from meeting Michael Barbaro of the NYTimes Daily Podcast at the Chatham House AI Roundtable, Michael McIntyre at Meta Beach, and Reid Wiseman, lead astronaut of the Artemis II.

He always caught me when I fell.
My older brother. Scared all the boys away. Knew how to make me laugh, knew how to make me cry. No matter what, he had me.
Five years ago, he became someone we didn’t recognize.
Angry. Confused. We became his enemy.
Two years later, we finally had a name for it: schizoaffective disorder.
It has been the most painful, isolating journey for my family.
And I refuse to let other families go through it alone.
Today I’m announcing Inaya Health.
Inaya, in Arabic, means divine care and protection.
It’s the lifeline for families the mental health system left behind. The one my family needed and couldn’t find.
Here’s the gap nobody talks about:
• Free services like NAMI and 988 are critical, and temporary. Every call, someone new. Every time, you start your story over.
• Private case management is excellent but $300-500/hour puts it out of reach for most families. And then there’s a waitlist.
Inaya lives in the middle. One advocate. Your whole story. Someone who stays.
We start with our free tool. Because the paperwork alone breaks families. Describe your situation and receive clinically-informed documents in 24 hours. Insurance appeals. Disability applications. Crisis kits. The documentation that changes outcomes, free, for every family who needs it.
When they need more, Inaya Membership is one dedicated advocate through every 2am moment.
• 14.6 million Americans live with serious mental illness.
• 90% rely on a family member every single day.
That family member deserves support too.
If this is your family, you’re not alone anymore.
If you know someone carrying this weight, please share this.

It’s been 100 days since we launched SemantIQ Health. A few quick wins and learnings from our time building below, but suffice to say I’ve never had more fun building in this new age, all with a cracked, high-agency team that ships and delivers.
– 30 organizations and ~250 users are now live and executing workflows in the SemantIQ agent. This includes healthcare consultancies, life science commercial analytics firms, and media agencies and platforms.
– 3 of the Top 5 independent DSPs, 10+ healthcare agencies including multiple agencies from the Top 3 holding companies are live.
– Featured twice in MM+M’s 2026 Agency 100, including as an AI Health Platform (link below)
– Founding partner of LiveRamp’s LAB to build on our launch partnership in the LiveRamp Clean Room.
– Live partnerships, integrations, and semantic layer adapters with multiple claims and provider datasets, media data, and consumer data providers, enabling our agent to interoperate with any claims, media or consumer dataset. This is a core thesis of what we’re building as an infrastructure layer – enabling pharma and healthcare commercial workflows in their governed environments with their licensed datasets.
To every customer who’s kicked the tires and sent feedback: thank you. A learning which is obvious in hindsight: there’s no substitute for watching real users ask real questions of the data – golden test sets only get you so far. Your feedback has been invaluable and our speed to fix bugs, improve agent capabilities and performance, and implement workflows is accelerating.
What we believe after 100 days:
Software 3.0 is real, and it’s validating our core thesis that this is an infrastructure and architecture problem, not a UI one. The semantic layer is the crux – especially in healthcare, where auditability and governance are required. But the tech is never the point – it’s all about the workflow. The tech must sit in the background so the end-to-end workflow can be run intuitively by a business user – stripping out the cruft and accelerating insight to add superpowers to the user while informing and educating them. Healthcare for most is a foreign language, and insight only matters if it leads to better decisions and better outcomes. That’s the power of what we’re building, and it’s what we’re obsessed with learning about with our customers.
Sarah Guo has a great blog post in The Untrainable: “An application earns its place in the untrainable corner by doing unglamorous work: arranging a company’s private reality so a model can act on it, handing the model the tools to act, working with the customer to change the reality of its workforce.”
That’s the opportunity, and it’s the work we’ve chosen. While companies showcase demos, we’re focused on workflows and infrastructure deployed in customers’ hands.
Jonathan Lenaghan, our CTO, goes deep on the why and how here, and what’s cooking under the hood: https://lnkd.in/g87_HKvn

Today is a big day for us, probably the most important moment since we started. I’m excited to announce that Soaib Grewal has joined PC & me as Partner & Head of Ecosystem at Activate.
Soaib and I first met in 2014 at an ecosystem event he was running. After that, he was part of the team at Times Internet that invested in Haptik. Then when he started his company Plaza, I was the amongst the first angel checks. After Plaza, he came back to India and joined us at peercheque, the investment syndicate I founded in 2022.
Our mission is to “activate” the AI ecosystem in India, a platform around which the best AI founders can build iconic companies. I couldn’t think of anyone better than Soaib to run these platform initiatives for us, along with of course supporting all investment efforts and company building from Day 0.

YC just dropped something very useful for founders.
It is called Requests for Startups (RFS).
This is not a list of random startup ideas.
These are real problems from real companies and industries.
Problems where there is already demand, budget, and urgency.
If you are early-stage, pre-idea, or thinking what to build next –
this is a great place to look.
You are not guessing what the market wants.
The market is literally telling you.
Worth bookmarking.

🚀 Mem0 (founded by Taranjeet Singh) has secured $24 million in a seed round led by Y Combinator, Peak XV Partners and Basis Set Ventures to build what it calls the “memory layer” for large language model-based applications. (Source:TechCrunch)
🔍 Why this is important
~Large language models (LLMs) excel at generating responses—but struggle with long-term memory and context. Mem0 aims to fix this by enabling apps to remember and learn from past interactions.
~The funding signals investor belief in infrastructure-level AI plays—not just end-user apps. Memory, context, state management are becoming the new core stack components for AI.
~For founders and investors: the era of “just build a model” is evolving into “build a platform with memory, state, and scale.”
🛠 How Alacrity EXTN LLP can help
~Deal Structuring & Capital Strategy: We support early-stage in defining terms, structuring rounds, and aligning investor expectations.
~Valuation & Due Diligence: For startups like Mem0, modelling memory/agent-based tech demands bespoke frameworks—hardware cost, scale dynamics, adoption curves, IP risk.
~M&A & Strategic Advisory: Infrastructure firms often exit via acquisition by platforms or enterprise stacks—strategic positioning now matters.
Take-away:
As AI evolves, memory is rapidly becoming a competitive moat—not just “better LLM” but “persistent, personalised, context-aware AI.” If you’re building or investing in stack-level AI infrastructure, the time to position is now.

YC’s acceptance rate is < 1%. Here are 5 things that actually move the needle on your application.
I run ycroaster.com where we review YC applications.
After hundreds of reviews, patterns are clear:
1️⃣ Your one-line description matters more than anything else. If I can’t explain your startup to a friend in 10 seconds, you’ve lost.
2️⃣ Show velocity, not vanity metrics. “We grew from $2K to $15K MRR in 8 weeks” beats “We have 50,000 signups.”
3️⃣ The “Why you?” answer should make me think “obviously them.” Domain expertise > passion.
4️⃣ Record your video like you’re talking to a smart friend, not pitching a board room. Energy and clarity > production quality.
5️⃣ Apply even if you’re early. YC has funded pre-product companies many times. The team is the product at that stage.
Bonus: If you’ve been rejected before and reapplied with meaningful progress, that actually helps. It shows persistence.
Drop your YC application questions below, I’ll answer as many as I can 🦞🔥

Everyone is saying “AI kills SaaS” because Buy vs. Build flipped.
That’s lazy thinking.
Yes, generating software is suddenly cheap and easy. But running software is not.
Internal teams are building great simplest stuff. Demos. One-off workflows. Dashboards. Narrow utilities.
An LLM can spin up a CRM in a weekend. It cannot own that CRM for five years.
The moment you need reliability, security, compliance, uptime, permissions, edge cases, and long-term maintenance – the math snaps back.
But SaaS is indeed at risk. Just not from enterprises building in-house.
The real threat is a new wave of SaaS built AI-first, not UI-first.
Products where agents do the work, not dashboards. Clean APIs that agents can actually use. UI that’s optional or secondary. Designed from day one for machines to operate, not just humans to click.
Legacy SaaS assumes humans click buttons forever. That is the risk.
Any SaaS that hides logic behind brittle UIs, lacks a real agent interface – for both internal and external agents, relies on a steep learning curve as its moat, resists automation, or is hard to control programmatically – it’s getting replaced.
The next era isn’t “Buy vs. Build.”
It’s “Keep Old vs. Buy AI-First.”

Founders NEED to be smarter about structuring POCs.
A pilot is not “prove the tech.”
It’s 30 days to co-create a business case (ROI model) with your buyer.
Do this:
1. Charge for the pilot. It filters tire-kickers. Be explicit: pilot fees ≠ production pricing.
2. If pushed on price before value:
-Anchor to ROI: “For peers we unlock ≈ $10M; we target 1:10 ROI.”
-Give ranges, not a point: “Final pricing will land between $500k–$1M depending on realized value.”
3. Build the ROI model with the buyer (during the pilot):
Incremental gains: revenue lift, churn reduction, throughput, win-rates.
Cost savings: headcount/time saved, license/tool consolidation.
Opportunity cost: what higher-value work replaces the saved time?
The Outcome?
You qualify faster, negotiate on value (not features), and set up a clean path to outcome-based pricing.
Save this for your next pilot.

YC is backing younger and younger founders.
In the internet era, being a college founder was seen as young and edgy, but nowadays, in the AI era, there seems to be more aura in being a high school founder. In fact, my YC batch had a handful of high school dropouts that were set on ditching college and jumping right into starting a billion dollar company.
While they are young, these founders have tons of energy and optimism with nothing to lose and only skills and connections to gain by starting a company. What they lack, however, is industry knowledge and experience that can guide them towards working on the right problems.
AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude are instrumental in helping discover the base level problems, but for this next generation of founders, getting in front of industry experts and asking the right questions will become the real challenge to unlock true value. User research will become 10x more important as these young founders seek to discover traditionally hidden workflows in lesser-known industries to accelerate using AI.
If you’re a young founder who wants to iterate on your ideas in hours instead of weeks to find that perfect idea, comment RESEARCH and I’ll get you set up.
