In an era of escalating cyber threats and growing customer concerns over data security, Cetas Information Technology Pvt Ltd has achieved a significant milestone. The Chennai-based Microsoft Dynamics AI Cloud Partner and Independent Software Vendor (ISV) announced its certification under ISO/IEC 27001:2022, a globally recognized standard for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS). The certification reinforces Cetas’s commitment to safeguarding its clients’ data, enhancing cybersecurity measures, and delivering trust alongside innovation.

The certification, granted as of September 16, 2024, applies to Cetas’s head office and main development centre in Chennai, where the company provides a broad array of IT services, including consulting, design, development, and testing for enterprise solutions like Microsoft Dynamics ERP, CRM, Power Platform, and ISV offerings.

Securing Data in a Digital World

As digital transformation becomes ubiquitous across industries, businesses are increasingly relying on cloud-based services and enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions to drive efficiency and innovation. But this shift has also made data security a top concern for customers.

“We take the security of information assets—whether physical or digital—very seriously,” said Murali Avanamuthu, Managing Director of Cetas Information Technology. “Receiving ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification is a testament to our commitment to excellence in information security. We strive to protect our customers, partners, employees, and other stakeholders by adhering to rigorous security standards.”

ISO/IEC 27001:2022, established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), is widely regarded as the gold standard for ISMS. The certification ensures that organisations are equipped to manage the security of critical assets—ranging from financial information to intellectual property—and adapt to the ever-evolving landscape of cyber threats.

“Information security is a key topic on all customers’ minds, especially given the various cyberattacks we’re witnessing globally,” Avanamuthu added. “For an ISV like us, handling customer data is super critical. This certification solidifies the trust our clients can place in us.”

The ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification provides Cetas’s clients with a crucial assurance: their data is secure and managed according to internationally recognized standards. As an established Microsoft AI Cloud Partner, Cetas continues to prioritise the security, confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA) of client data across its enterprise solutions.

“When customers choose ERP platforms and add-in solutions, data security is a key concern. With this certification, customers can be confident that their information is in safe hands,” Avanamuthu emphasised.

Cetas’s client base spans industries such as engineering, retail, hospitality, manufacturing, and distribution, and the certification strengthens the company’s ability to deliver value to organisations around the world.

Looking ahead, Cetas plans to broaden its reach by expanding its ISV solutions through digital marketing initiatives and increased presence at global conferences. The company’s recent incorporation of its U.S. office also signals ambitions to capture a more significant share of the international market.

“We are already seeing positive results from our consistent marketing efforts. With our U.S. office, we hope to expand our global footprint, particularly in the market for add-in solutions around Microsoft Dynamics,” said Avanamuthu.

Innovating While Safeguarding

Cetas’s expertise in delivering solutions for Microsoft Business Applications, such as LS Central and Power Platform, is now further bolstered by its robust security measures. With the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification in place, Cetas ensures that its clients can innovate with confidence, knowing their critical data is safeguarded against emerging threats.

“Our focus is on driving business value and digital transformation for our clients while ensuring their data is protected every step of the way,” Avanamuthu noted.

As cybersecurity continues to be a central concern for organisations worldwide, Cetas Information Technology’s certification underlines the company’s commitment to excellence, not only in technical delivery but also in building trusted relationships with its clients.
