FORTI to Focus on Enabling Members to Sell Products on E-Commerce Platforms

The Federation of Rajasthan Trade and Industry (FORTI) is aiming at enabling their members to sell their products and solutions on E-Commerce platforms. Suresh Agarwal, President – FORTI highlighted this during an interaction with CMR India.

The association hosted a significant event in Jaipur, with Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar as the chief guest. The event was themed “The Role of Rajasthan’s Traders in Nation Building,” emphasizing the vital contribution of the state’s business community to India’s development.

Suresh Agarwal welcomed Vice President Dhankhar, highlighting Rajasthan’s rich entrepreneurial heritage. He noted that the state has been a cradle for warriors and entrepreneurs alike, with a tradition of resilience and innovation. Agarwal expressed confidence that Dhankhar’s insights would inspire the local business community.

In his address, Vice President Dhankhar emphasized the need for Rajasthan to leverage its vast resources and cultural heritage to foster economic growth. He pointed out that while the state boasts numerous UNESCO Heritage Sites and a rich cultural tapestry, it has yet to realize its full potential in sectors such as tourism, education, healthcare, and industry. Dhankhar urged for strategic efforts to unlock these opportunities, drawing comparisons with rapidly developing cities like Gurugram and Bengaluru.

E-Commerce: A Gateway to Global Markets

A significant portion of Dhankhar’s speech focused on the importance of digital transformation for Rajasthan’s traders. He highlighted the global shift towards e-commerce and urged local businesses to embrace digital platforms to expand their reach. By adopting e-commerce, Rajasthan’s traders can tap into international markets, thereby boosting exports and contributing to the state’s economic growth.

FORTI’s Vision for Expansion

President Suresh Agarwal outlined FORTI’s expansion plans. He emphasized the association’s commitment to fostering innovation and supporting the growth of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Agarwal highlighted three key areas: enhancing digital infrastructure, promoting skill development, and facilitating access to global markets. These initiatives aim to empower local businesses, enabling them to compete on a global scale.

He also said that the association is aiming at enabling the members on selling their products in some of the African countries. We had an opportunity to visit some of the African nations and we are very happy that Indians with Rajasthani origins were running establishments there.
